Founded in December 2012, Cinevision Studios began as an experimental hub dedicated to the integration of image and sound. Over more than a decade, it has evolved into an independent studio with expertise in film post-production, focused on delivering work aligned with international technical standards.
Cinevision Studios founder João Vitor Sagan's journey is inseparable from the comapany's history. I started in audiovisual production as a child, developing a self-taught foundation in narrative, editing, sound design, and visual composition, which later shaped my professional methodology.
Between 2012 and 2021, Cinevision became a space for continuous technical and creative development, with projects in virtual environments and strong emphasis on compositing, editing, colour grading, and sound.
From 2021 onwards, the studio transitioned to industry-standard pipelines, developing advanced skills in professional tools and workflows used in film and television. During this phase, I also built expertise in Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, consolidating a strong foundation in immersive audiovisual technologies.
In 2024, Cinevision reached a milestone with “Everyday Life – An Ode to Auroras,” the first Brazilian film completed in Dolby Atmos, captured in 4K HDR, produced entirely independently and delivered internationally for global audiences.
That same year, João Vitor Sagan did the visual effects development for “Black Body Astrophysicists”, creating advanced 3D visualizations to translate complex astrophysical concepts into accessible imagery. The series premiered at the National Planetarium in Brasília, was featured in 10 major media outlets, and reached thousands of people across 5 Brazilian states through free public exhibitions.
Currently, Cinevision develops films, documentaries, and institutional productions focused on cinematic language, technology, and cultural impact, while I continue refining my skills in editing, colour grading, sound design, and VFX using tools such as Avid Media Composer and Nuke.
